Here, we have installed rim boards and joist hangers for the awning replacement. There was not much demo involved here. A storm brought the original awning down and then the homeowners disposed of the debris.
Next we have replaced joist hangers and installed new 2 x 6 joists for the awning paneling to lay across.
Finally the awning replacement is complete. We installed a drip cap at the siding, then overlapped the corrugated paneling, and finally, sealed all openings and screw locations.
