Ceramic floor tile installation
The first thing we do, before we can begin any demolition, is lay drop-cloths and put up plastic wherever necessary. This is done to protect adjacent surfaces and to make clean-up much easier.
The old tile had to be removed because we did not want to raise the floor-height and because it was unstable.
So, we have already installed the cement-board underlayment. And now we are dry-fitting the tile to see how they would sit best. If we line it up center with the toilet it will give us two similarly sized end pieces along the tub and the vanity. Beautiful! We are not always that lucky. Next we will begin laying the tile one by one.
Wow! Now that looks amazing! It is so much better looking and easier to maintain than the previous flooring. Finally, we will seal the grout and install the threshold.
