Concrete landing install
Here we have a simple concrete landing installation. The old debilitated pad was removed. The first thing we did was grade the dirt to slope away from the home. Then we laid three inches of gravel and compacted it very well. We also installed rebar and a couple of dowels into the adjacent slab. Then we mixed the concrete and poured it two bags at a time. We worked it around so that all voids would fill and level to surface. Finally, before it dries, we spread the concrete with floats and trowels to give it a smooth finish.
