Basic Bathroom Remodel

Here is what we are working with.

This is an older home and the bathroom has been in need of upgrading for a long time now.

Right away, we are running into surprises. Mold on the green-board will have to be neutralized and removed carefully then replaced with new green board.

There were never any shut-off valves installed for the supply lines to the sink. This makes for a lot of running back and forth to and from the main shut-off valve while working on the sink and vanity. We will definitely install some shut-off valves to make life easier in the future.

A good way to install a tub surround is to use 2″ x 3″ lumber. They are assembled so to apply pressure on the panels as the adhesive cures.

Here, the guys forgot to add tape to a crack in the wall. After the walls were primed the crack reappeared. No worries. Ill get it. Viola!

Great job on the ceramic tile floor installation.

New tub surround is in.

The vanity, medecine cabinet and toilet are all ready for use at this point.

Great job on the trim and door casing! There is about 8 pieces of trim that together look like one unit after all the caulk and paint have been applied.
