On this project we are laying new carpet over a concrete basement floor. The old carpeting has already been removed. With this particular type of carpet we will not be installing tack strips or carpet padding because they are not required.
Unfortunately, but not out of the ordinary, this property or home was occupied at the time of installation so there are several items that need to be shifted around as we work. In this case, it’s not that big of a deal. First, we will move everything to one side and then start on the opposite side. And afterwards, we will move things onto the newly laid carpet and finish the remainder of the basement floor.
There is a pair of columns that we must cut around and several corners that we have to round but nothing is out of our capacity when doing these installations.
Wow! Great job! What a big difference the new carpeting makes! The entire job from start to finish only took about a half day at most. This was also due to the materials already being on site and supplied by the customer.
